about

It's funny how life moves. The homie, Ryan Case was working on the Foreign Legion website and I came over to learn a few things as my HTML abilities were still in their infancy. Ryan (and his brother Arlin) were two of the coolest, goofy hippy kids I've ever known. I spent a lot of time over at Ryan's apartment, learning to dj, playing Dreamcast and generally getting fucked up.

It was during one of those Dreamcast sessions, that I met Chris Stoll aka KRZA aka Vanilla Stolly. I had heard his Motherboard album and thought that it was really good. Beats were solid and the lyrics were pretty witty. He was a total geek/miscreant/smart-ass so we hit it off immediately.

At some point during our drunken gaming, he mentioned that he lived in Santa Rosa. I told him that I was WELL acquainted with the area since I had lived in Novato. Santa Rosa was where all the hot latinas and white girls were so my brother and I were spending our Fridays at the Mendocino Ave Cruise or at the Cantina, putting in that work.

Chris and I exchanged numbers and he invited me up to his crib. About a week later, I took him up on the invitation. I had no idea that accepting that invitation would be the beginnings a deep friendship that still endures to this day, over 12 years later. We've seen each other through some serious shit and that's still my cat, for real. They call him Danjres Will Robinson, now. Accomplished writer, musician and Internet Architecture Aficionado. He's still just KRZA to me.

He slang this one to me during one of my many trips to Mendo County. I took 3 busses and the BART to get there. It was totally worth it.

I lud jue, Ghost.
