about
Once again, Danjres Will and I found ourselves in the middle of a creative oasis and ended up with something we both loved. If I remember correctly, this song came about after one of our trips to the local deli spot where I had my usual Paul's Special (and INSANELY DELICIOUS steak sandwich with cheese, red onions and bacon) and 10 deviled eggs.
I was standing outside, commenting on some of the beautiful ladies that were out and about during another summer day. I remember us both seeing this girl that looked like a JLo stunt double and doing the classic Chris Tucker/Ice Cube "daaaammmmm!!" I just shook my head and sang "Everybody loves the sunshine". Danjres said,"I'd drink her bath water through a fucking crazy straw. You picked the right song, chief."
That began a lengthy discussion about our mutual appreciation of two things:
1. properly sculpted female hind-quarters and
2. the Roy Ayers classic.
One thing leads to another and we're back at Worldwide (with deviled egg breath) smashing out another one. I swear I played this song everyday for the rest of the summer... and I got that girl's number a few weeks later.
